Thank you ladies!

I wasn't entirely happy with it this morning.  Kind of thought the scene should be softened.
This is Annie (Annika), my grand daughter.  The shadows underneath her eyes really pop out which aren't that bad normally.  A reflector takes care of that problem but I didn't use one and should have. I removed them in photoshop and blended her tones.   Much happier with this version.

This is a fairly easy set up. Empty out a bedroom, buy a background. It's 5' X 7' wide. Find all that Xmas stuff you have in boxes. I'm lucky to have some very old wood crates. I bought the lantern at Michaels on Friday, added a glow in photoshop. She is sitting on a small stool, that's a kitchen towel I bought from the dollar store. If you have natural light, your lucky. I don't, so I had to use my studio lights. I laid out a blanket but I could have used the carpet underneath. A wood floor would be nice, but not this year. The hat string you can also find at Michaels. That's it that's all !
But Nathalie, if you want to come out, you are more than welcomed.

Are those backdrops you use or panels? There are some beautifull backdrops on Amazone for so cheap compared to photography furniture stores.. here anyway. I soooooo wish I had a spare room... but my appartement is SO TINY! It is just impossible to set up anything close to this... well anything at all as a matter of fact LOL. Im trying to convince mom to get rid of all her living room furniture to create a studio out of her living room..... no luck so far lol!

BAH! She can sleep on the couch. Use the bedroom.

My backdrop is muslin (cotton material) but really good stuff.
I wanted to order vinyl but I was too late for it to come in on time.
It's way cheaper on line.
